Quote from Abraham Lincoln and Thomas Jefferson

These quotes are in relation to a documentary I originally wrote about and these quotes from Abraham Lincoln and Thomas Jefferson, both former U.S. Presidents, could apply in regards to the global economy if inflation were to continue.

“I see in the near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my country. . . . corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands and the Republic is destroyed.”
— Abraham Lincoln

“If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent they conquered.”
― Thomas Jefferson

Although I am not American, the United States is a world superpower and is the economic capital of the world. If the United States economy is destroyed through inflation, it will have a domino affect and heavily damage Asian, Canadian, European, and other economies internationally due to how closely reliant those economies are on the American economy.
